For Y Group:

  • Passed 10+2/Intermediate/equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.
  • OR, Passed a two-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects like Physics and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.

For X and Y Group Combined:

  • Passed 10+2/Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics, and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.
  • OR, Passed a three-year diploma course in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English in diploma or intermediate level (if English is not a subject in diploma).
